To protect itself against invasions and misdeeds of the bandits
of the middle age, the farmers built their houses away from their
crops and surrounded them with ramparts.
Built with stones of the country side, covered with tiles, they squeeze up
the some against the other forming a wall surrounding by the church
and the castle who dominate them.
Some of these houses still possess their doors of previous history.
Inside the village, streets and alleys, paved by stones or by pebbles,
sloping and interrupted with stairs do not allow the passage of a vehicle.
Sometimes, arches put the passer-by shielded of the sun or the rain.
Nowadays, regrettably, numerous castles disappeared victim of the
revolution. Some were reconstructed, the other not.
